The DeFi Education Fund (“DEF”) is thrilled to announce that Amanda Tuminelli has joined DEF as Chief Legal Officer and will lead the organization’s impact litigation and policy efforts. Her extensive experience advising and litigating on behalf of clients in the digital asset sector will supercharge DEF’s existing efforts.
Prior to joining DEF, Amanda was a lawyer at Kobre & Kim, where she defended clients against criminal and regulatory investigations, government enforcement actions, and large scale litigation. Before Kobre & Kim, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ann M. Donnelly of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to her clerkship, Amanda practiced at Dechert LLP in their white-collar and securities litigation group, where she defended corporations and C-suite executives in government investigations and class-action securities disputes.
“I am thrilled to be joining the team at DEF, with whom I share a great passion for promoting policies that protect the innovative spirit of DeFi and support the democratization of finance,” said Amanda. “I look forward to continuing the already great work of DEF and expanding into advocacy through aggressive and creative litigation strategies, especially at this critical juncture for the industry when it is even more important that we protect the space from regulatory overreach.”
